Murata Adds Two New Board Members |

(Harrisburg, PA February 27 2008)-Murata Business Center Adds Two New Members To Their Advisory Board
The Murata Business Center added two new members to their advisory board for 2008 – Paul Spotts, President and Credit Officer for Commerce Bank/Harrisburg and Douglas Wisehaupt, Vice President and member of the Senior Management team of Ollie’s Bargain Outlet.
Paul Spotts has over 14 years of experience in analyzing and financing small and large businesses. Prior to Commerce Bank, Paul served as Business Finance Officer with the Capital Region Economic Development Corporation (CREDC). Today he serves on CREDC’s Loan Review Committee, which reviews financing proposals for new and existing small businesses. Paul is a graduate of St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.
Douglas Wisehaupt served as the COO of Arcus LLC before joining Ollie’s Bargain Outlet. Prior to Arcus, he had a 15 year career in commercial banking, holding positions at Fulton Bank, Mellon Bank and Barnett Bank of Florida. He serves on the Board of Directors for Leadership Harrisburg, Harrisburg Rotary Foundation and Human Resource Professionals of Central PA – where he serves as Treasurer.
“Paul and Doug are terrific additions to the Advisory Board,” stated Karen Gunnison, Executive Director at the Murata Business Center. “They bring new areas of expertise to the board –Paul, banking and Doug, H.R.-- and will be great resources for the businesses here at Murata.”
The Murata Business Center is a 30,000 square foot business incubator owned and operated by the Harrisburg Regional Chamber and CREDC. It is largely supported by private and public sector contributions to the organization, as well as rental income. It is staffed by the Executive Director, Facilities Manager-Alex Quigley and two part-time Administrative Assistants- Kathy Kirk and Janet Hosey, as well as supported by the staff at the Chamber & CREDC. It is a state designated Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ) and companies located in the facility have qualified for KIZ tax credits.
The Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC serves as a catalyst for promoting growth and quality of life in Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry Counties by providing a unique blend of business, community and economic development and advocacy services under one roof to boost our economic vitality and livability as a region. HRC/CREDC has been accredited with four stars from the United States Chamber of Commerce.
